Our mission remains the same today as it was when the lottery first started - to responsibly raise as many dollars as possible for the educational programs we fund. We are pleased that the Georgia Lottery set a new record in fiscal year 2007 for profits, contributing more than $853 million to lottery-funded educational programs. This represents a $31 million increase over the previous year and helps to ensure the future of the HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K Programs for all Georgians.

The lottery's phenomenal growth is a result of hard work and sound business practices. The end result has meant more educational opportunities for a growing number of Georgians. Over 1.8 million students have benefited from the lottery-funded HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K Programs.

We look forward to building on the high standards of excellence that have always been the hallmark of Georgia's Lottery.
