ATLANTA – Lynn Reddish of Blackshear won Big Bills…. Now she’s planning to pay off a big bill. After winning the $500,000 top prize on the Georgia Lottery instant game Big Bills, Mrs. Reddish exclaimed, “We’re going to pay off our mortgage.” Mrs. Reddish, 44, purchased her lucky ticket at Country Boys Mini Mall, located at 1982 Hwy. 121 N. in Bristol. She scratched the ticket in the store and immediately called her husband, Jimmie, with the news. “We’re going to pay off our bills, buy a new vehicle, and put the rest in savings,” Mrs. Reddish shares. “We have a kid about to graduate from college next year and one about to start college next year so this is great timing,” she continues. Mr. and Mrs. Reddish are proud that their daughter, Christina, is attending Waycross College on a lottery-funded HOPE scholarship. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $6.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
