ATLANTA – Mega Millions sprang forward this weekend. Tuesday’s jackpot has jumped to an estimated $171 million.
Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options: approximately $6.5 million a year for 26 years with the annuity option, or a single payment worth approximately $124 million with the cash option.
Tickets are only $1 per play. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.1 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
