ATLANTA – In less than a month, a Marietta man has won more than $470,000 playing Fantasy 5. Donizete de Jesus Dalto, 40, is one of two players each to match all five winning numbers in the May 8 Fantasy 5 drawing and win a $244,783 jackpot prize.
Just two weeks earlier, the father of three was one of five winners each to win a $227,128 prize from matching all five winning numbers in the April 26 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Dalto says his fortune is more than just good luck. Just one month before his first lottery win, he said his wife had a dream that he would win the lottery four times, providing him with a combination of numbers to play.
"I'm sure that she will have more dreams like this," he said of his wife, Vera.
Winning numbers from the May 8 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-12-22-28-33. The second jackpot ticket was purchased in Newnan.
Happy Mart, 1094 Powers Ferry Road S.E. in Marietta, sold both of Dalto’s winning Fantasy 5 jackpot tickets.
Dalto said he hasn't had much time to settle in to his first lottery win. He plans to buy a new house, pay off bills and repair the family’s vehicles. With the second win, he plans to buy a computer for his youngest son and prepare his oldest son for college.
"I'm so happy," he exclaimed. "Everyone that I told was screaming."
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning top prize Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Happy Mart will receive a $5,000 retailer incentive bonus.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $10.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
