ATLANTA – A Stone Mountain retiree is celebrating a half-million dollar Georgia Lottery win. Larry Lucas, 53, played the instant game World Poker Tour and won $500,000.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Lucas said. “It was just unreal.”
Married with three children and four grandchildren, Lucas will use his winnings to buy a new truck and pay bills.
He also wants to do something special for his wife, Cynthia.
“We’ve never been on a honeymoon, so this may be a good time,” he said.
Lucas purchased his top prize ticket at Happy Food Mart, 2199 Idlewood Road, Tucker.
