ATLANTA – One lucky lottery winner has filed a Mega Millions win from the March 20 drawing. Pamela Knight of Pinetta, Fla., increased a $10,000 prize to $40,000 with the Megaplier option from matching four out of five winning numbers plus the Mega Ball.
Knight, 58, anticipates taking a vacation and having dental work performed as a result of her win.
“I have calmed down a lot, but I’m very excited,” she said.
Winning numbers from the March 20 drawing were: 1-4-6-11-14 and the Mega Ball was 30. Knight selected her own combination and purchased her ticket at Johnson & Johnson #0040, 5139 Madison Highway in Valdosta.
Knight, who is a county sheriff, has a son and two grandchildren. She discovered that she’d won while at work.
The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s drawing is at a record $476 million to a single annuity winner. Mega Millions tickets are $1 per play. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
