ATLANTA – A Waycross woman is celebrating a Georgia Lottery win. Catherine Grays, 76, won $25,000 playing the instant game $150,000,000 Slots of Luck.

Grays said she was feeling lucky when she purchased her ticket Thursday.

“I woke up early in the morning, and the store was on my mind,” she said.

Crossway Cigarette & Beer Outlet, located at 385 State St. in Waycross, sold the lucky ticket. Grays scratched her ticket at the store.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I kept looking at it.”

“We all were joyful,” she said. “Everybody in the store celebrated.”

A retired beautician, Grays will use her winnings to remodel her home.
