Georgia Lottery, Atlanta Falcons present primetime TV special

ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery fans and Atlanta Falcons football fans can get a behind the scenes look at the new Atlanta Falcons lottery game.

“Scratch-off: The Making of the Atlanta Falcons $500,000 Touchdown” will air as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 8:30 p.m. WSB-TV (Atlanta)
Thursday, Sept. 17, 7 p.m. WJBF-TV (Augusta)
Thursday, Sept. 17, 7:30 p.m. WNEG-TV (Toccoa)
Saturday, Sept. 19, noon CSS/Comcast (Atlanta)
Saturday, Sept. 19, 7:30 p.m. WRBL-TV (Columbus)
Saturday, Sept. 19, 7:30 p.m. WMAZ-TV (Macon)
Saturday, Sept. 19, 8 p.m. WSAV-TV (Savannah)

Viewers will have a unique opportunity to see what goes into the making of a new instant game – from concept and development to printing tickets. They will also get an up-close look at a spectacular Falcons halftime show recently produced by the Georgia Lottery, where lucky fans at the game won prizes up to $10,000.

Atlanta Falcons $500,000 Touchdown is a $5 instant game loaded with prize packages and cash prizes up to $500,000. Players can enter non-winning game tickets in one of four second chance drawings for a chance to win the following 2010 prizes: a trip for 10 to a Falcons away game on AirTran Airways, a VIP suite experience for 16, or a trip for two to an away game on the Falcons team plane.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $11 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
