ATLANTA – James Hendricks has won a prize that will last a lifetime. Hendricks, 59, of Appling matched all six winning numbers in the Sept. 9 Win for Life drawing, winning $52,000 a year for life. The father of two purchased the Quik Pik ticket at Publix Super Markets #0534, 403 Furys Ferry Road in Martinez. Winning numbers from the Sept. 9 Win for Life drawing were: 3-14-20-26-34-41 and the Free Ball was 6. "I received the results in an e-mail from the Georgia Lottery Players Club," he said. "I didn't believe it." According to Hendricks, he has checked his ticket every day since learning of his lottery win. "I feel great," he exclaimed. With two adult daughters in college, he plans to purchase a car, and he wants to do something nice for himself. "This is life changing," he shared. Win for Life is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky. As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Win for Life will benefit education in the state of Georgia. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $11 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program. Play Responsibly – It's All About Fun!
