2012 Jeep accelerates excitement for Cobb woman

Thursday, April 26, 2012

ATLANTA – One Cobb County woman is revved up with excitement over a Georgia Lottery prize. Sandra Carpenter of Smyrna won a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, taxes paid, playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure.

“I’m very excited,” said Carpenter, 48. “I’m just happy I’ll be driving a new car.”

Georgia Lottery representatives presented the lucky winner with the keys to her new automobile Thursday at Ed Voyles Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located at 789 Cobb Parkway S.E. in Marietta.

Chevron Food Mart, 2875 S. Cobb Drive in Smyrna, sold the winning ticket. Carpenter said she scratched it in the store.

“I was shaking and crying,” she said. “I was about to pass out.”

In addition to winning her new Jeep, Carpenter also received $25,000 to customize her new vehicle.

Georgia Lottery players can tackle tough terrain, winning one of 15 new Jeep Wranglers, taxes paid, plus $25,000 for customization with Jeep Outdoor Adventure, a $5 instant ticket. Players also have the opportunity to instantly win one of 1,200 Eagles Nest Outfitters gift cards valued at $250.

Players can enter non-winning tickets for a second chance to win. The Georgia Lottery will award 600 camping gear prize packs, 200 Eagles Nest Outfitters gift cards and one Jeep Wrangler vehicle throughout five second-chance drawings.
