Columbus grad surging with excitement for new Cadillac

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

ATLANTA – Excitement is gaining traction for one Muscogee County man as he anticipates graduation and a brand new sedan courtesy of the Georgia Lottery. Channing Taylor, who intends to graduate from Columbus State University in May, won a new Cadillac playing the instant game Cadillac Riches.

Taylor’s father purchased the ticket and gave it to him as a graduation gift.

“I’ve got a great dad, and he’s amazing,” said Taylor, 26.

Georgia Lottery representatives presented the lucky winner with the keys to his new Cadillac CTS sedan Monday at Legacy Cadillac, 3615 Manchester Expressway in Columbus.

“I feel really good,” said Taylor, who will serve as an Army commissioned officer upon graduation.

Taylor, a Columbus resident, is a full-time student at the university and anticipates receiving a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Hamilton Road Chevron, 5731 Veterans Parkway in Columbus, sold the winning ticket.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.1 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
