ATLANTA – A Carrollton grandfather is beaming following a Fantasy 5 win. Clyde McWhorter, 74, is one of two players each to win a $293,200 Fantasy 5 jackpot prize from matching all five winning numbers in the Oct. 7 drawing. The grandfather of two enjoys buying a Quik Pik ticket with his morning coffee, he said. He purchased his winning Quik Pik ticket at Bowdon Junction Quick Stop, 4335 N. Highway 27 in Bowdon Junction, and discovered his win at the location while buying coffee the following day. Winning numbers from the Oct. 7 drawing were: 8-12-16-30-39. The second winning jackpot ticket was sold in Douglasville. "I feel good about it," McWhorter said. For now, the lucky winner and his wife, Linda, plan to "take it and do what we need to," he shared. Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning jackpot Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the jackpot winning tickets will share the bonus. Bowdon Junction Quick Stop will receive a $3,000 retailer incentive bonus. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $11.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program. Play Responsibly – It's All About Fun!
