ATLANTA – A Cobb County woman has won a Georgia Lottery prize from a free Fantasy 5 ticket. Tara Brown of Powder Springs is one of two players to each win $195,480 from the April 14 Fantasy 5 drawing.
She claimed her prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 13-20-23-29-31. The second jackpot winning ticket was sold in Ellijay.
Brown received a free ticket as her prize from matching two of five winning numbers from a previous drawing.
Quik Thrift #0742, 4551 Brownsville Road in Powder Springs, sold the lucky Quik Pik.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
