ATLANTA – A DeKalb County Schools bus driver will double her fun when she takes off with her twin sister in a new sedan courtesy of the Georgia Lottery. Linda Goines of Covington played the instant game Cadillac Riches and instantly won a brand new Cadillac.
Georgia Lottery representatives presented Goines with the keys to her new 2012 Cadillac CTS sedan Thursday at Heritage Cadillac, 7134 Jonesboro Road in Morrow.
“I feel so honored. I got the right ticket at the right time,” she said.
Shell Food Mart, 1095 Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville, sold the lucky ticket.
Goines, 48, is married and has four children. She has worked for DeKalb County Schools for 21 years.
The lucky winner anticipates traveling in her new sedan with her twin sister.
“It’s a beautiful car,” she exclaimed. “I like the sunroof and all of the features that it has.”
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
