ATLANTA – A Henry County woman has won a top prize playing Decades of Dollars. Borom Toek of McDonough matched all six numbers in the May 3 Decades of Dollars drawing, winning $250,000 a year for 30 years.
The lucky ticket for last Thursday’s drawing was purchased at Provisions BP, located at 2297 Highway 20 E. in McDonough.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 30-35-36-37-40-43.
Toek claimed her prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Decades of Dollars is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky and Arkansas.
The game offers a top prize of $250,000 a year for 30 years or a one-time cash option amount of $4 million. The game has a $10,000 second prize.
Decades of Dollars drawings are held at 11 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets cost $2 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Decades of Dollars will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
