Retired Union County LPN to show off new 2012 Jeep

Friday, May 11, 2012

ATLANTA – A retired licensed practical nurse is celebrating a Georgia Lottery win. Julia Nichols of Blairsville has won a brand new Jeep playing the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure.

Georgia Lottery representatives presented Nichols with the keys to her new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Thursday at Jasper Jeep, 1050 Highway 515 S. in Jasper.

“I just like the layout inside and the way it looks,” said an excited Nichols. “It’s a real nice-looking vehicle.”

Rebel’s Pantry #0009, 430 Young Harris Highway 76 in Blairsville, sold the lucky ticket.

A grandmother of three, Nichols has two adult children with her husband, Tim. She retired four years ago as an LPN.

In addition to her new vehicle, Nichols received $25,000 for customization.

“I’m excited about it,” she exclaimed. “I’ll just come back to Blairsville and show it off.”

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
