Summerville woman ‘flips out’ over $50,000 win

ATLANTA – A Summerville woman is ecstatic over a recent Georgia Lottery win. Aubree Edgeworth, 25, played the popular instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic and won $50,000.

“I was flipping out,” she said.

George’s Kwik Service, located at 959 Highland Ave. in Summerville, sold the top prize ticket.

Edgeworth claimed her prize Thursday.

“It feels great,” she said. “It couldn’t have come at a better time.

Edgeworth plans to pay bills with her winnings, and she may take a vacation.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
