Buckhead handyman caulks $129,000 Fantasy 5 prize

ATLANTA – A Buckhead handyman is filled with joy from winning a Georgia Lottery prize. Kenneth Poole, 45, is one of three players each to win a $129,362 jackpot prize from the March 26 Fantasy 5 drawing.

“We checked it online,” said Poole with his wife, Betty. “I was surprised.”

Winning numbers from the March 26 drawing were: 1-2-8-18-23. Fast Phil’s, 3351 Macon Highway in Watkinsville, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. Tickets for the two other Fantasy 5 jackpot prizes were sold in Columbus and Greensboro.

“I am speechless,” he said.

Poole said he intends to save his lottery winnings.

Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 jackpot tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the winning jackpot tickets will share the bonus. Fast Phil’s will share an $8,000 retailer incentive bonus.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $11.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
