Georgia Lottery Introduces Lost Treasure and Weekly Payday

ATLANTA – The Georgia Lottery Corporation’s two new instant games are instant fun and excitement. Play Lost Treasure for $5 and win up to $125,000. Or payday could arrive early with Weekly Payday, a $2 game with the chance to win $1,000 a week for a year!

To play Lost Treasure, scratch off the entire play area. Games 1 & 2: Get three “anchor” symbols in any row, column or diagonal in the same game and win the prize shown for that game. Game 3: Get two like amounts and win that amount. Bonus: Get a “moneybag” symbol and instantly win $50. Players can win a free ticket, $5, $8, $10, $15, $20, $25, $35, $50, $75, $100, $200, $500, $1,000, $5,000 and the top prize of $125,000. Overall odds for Lost Treasure are 1 in 3.26.

To play Weekly Payday, scratch off the entire play area. Get two like amounts and win that amount. Get a “PAYDAY” symbol in either game and win $1,000 A WEEK FOR A YEAR! Players can win a free ticket, $3, $4, $6, $8, $12, $18, $24, $36, $50, $100, $200, $500 and the top prize of $52,000. Overall odds for Weekly Payday are 1 in 3.73.

Lost Treasure and Weekly Payday go on sale at lottery retailers statewide today. Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any location where lottery instant tickets are sold. Players who win prizes over $599 may claim their winnings at one of the seven Georgia Lottery district offices. These are located in Dalton, Duluth, Columbus, Macon, Augusta, Thomasville, Savannah, and at the GLC headquarters in Atlanta. Winners can also mail a completed claim form, along with the signed winning ticket, to the GLC headquarters.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
