ATLANTA – An avid Jeep owner from Athens, taking note of a Georgia Lottery ticket with vroom, has won a brand new vehicle. Edwin Etheridge III, 33, played the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure and won a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, taxes paid, plus $25,000 for customization.
Georgia Lottery representatives presented Etheridge with keys to his brand new Jeep Friday at Akins Ford Jeep Chrysler Dodge, 220 W. May St. in Winder.
Publix Super Market #0451, 3620 Atlanta Highway in Athens, sold the lucky ticket. Etheridge purchased it on his way home from work.
“I scratched it when I got home,” he recalled. “I didn’t really believe it was happening.”
A software developer, the latest Jeep Wrangler will be his sixth.
“This one is pretty much my dream car,” shared Etheridge, who completely customized his new vehicle. “Jeep can go pretty much anywhere, anytime.”
With keys to his new Jeep, Etheridge has set his sights on having a relaxing weekend.
“I’m going to the lake to go jet skiing,” he exclaimed.
Georgia Lottery players can enter non-winning Jeep Outdoor Adventure instant tickets into the Second Chance Drawing for a chance to win a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, camping gear prize packs and Eagles Nest Outfitters gift cards. For more information, visit www.galottery.com.
