ATLANTA – A grandfather in Portal has hit the roof over winning a multi-million dollar prize. Jimmy Coleman Sr., who owns a local roofing business, stopped for a Pepsi and won a $2.5 million Georgia Lottery top prize playing the instant game Millionaire Jumbo Bucks.
“I had a feeling that something good was going to happen,” the grandfather of 27 said. “I bought it, and I went home.”
Clyde’s Market #0047, located at 513 U.S. Highway 80 E. in Brooklet, sold the winning ticket.
Coleman plans to purchase and fix up homes.
“I want to buy a new truck. That’s the only other thing that I want.”
Coleman, who has operated his business 30 years, has nine children.
Robert Harris, also of Portal, won a $275 million jackpot from the Feb. 22, 2008 Mega Millions drawing when he correctly selected the winning numbers and became the largest single winner in Georgia Lottery history.
