ATLANTA – A dietician who works at a Savannah hospital has won a healthy Win for Life prize. Layte Taylor, a resident of Springfield, won a $52,000 prize from matching five winning numbers plus the Free Ball in the June 16 Win for Life drawing. Her prize is equivalent to $1,000 a week for one year.
“I just happened to pick a Quik Pik,” said Taylor, 31. “I had a lucky feeling.”
Winning numbers from the June 16 drawing were: 6-24-26-34-36-39 and the Free Ball was 9. Shop N Go, 407 S. Laurel St. in Springfield, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.
Taylor discovered her lottery win after checking her numbers on the Georgia Lottery’s website.
“I screamed,” she said.
Feeling wonderful about her lottery win, Taylor anticipates vacationing in Florida.
Win for Life drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. Each Win for Life ticket costs $1.
