Thomasville nail technician polishes $25K prize

Tuesday, August 7, 2012

ATLANTA – A Thomasville nail technician has chipped a win from the Georgia Lottery and is tickled pink over his prize. Vanson Nguyen, 49, won a $25,000 prize playing the instant game $100 Million Lucky Fortunes.

Pic-Up Foods, 2004 Ga. Highway 122 in Thomasville, sold the winning ticket.

“I was just going to get gas, and I picked one up,” Nguyen said.

The hoopla happened at home where he discovered he’d won.

“I’m happy with it,” he exclaimed.

The lucky winner has no immediate plans for his windfall.

The Georgia Lottery’s $100 Million Lucky Fortunes is an instant ticket loaded with cash prizes of up to $2.5 million.

Players can enter non-winning tickets into the $100 Million Lucky Fortunes Extra Chance promotion for a second chance to win $2.5 million. Visit www.galottery.com for more information.
