ATLANTA – A Fantasy 5 win from the Georgia Lottery has spurred excitement for a Miller County Schools custodian. Wilmon Kelly, who has worked for the school system 40 years, matched all five numbers from the Aug. 2 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $50,000 jackpot prize.
Kelly, who lives in Damascus, claimed his prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.
Woodall’s #0003, 402 N. Westover Blvd. in Albany, sold the winning ticket. Kelly, 66, discovered that he’d won while at home.
“It felt pretty good,” the father of two said. “I called my son to verify it was correct. He was amazed and surprised, too.”
Kelly and his wife, Geneva, anticipate paying off bills and saving the remainder.
Winning numbers from the Aug. 2 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-11-18-22-36.
