ATLANTA – A Putnam County man anticipates building a savings around a prize from the Georgia Lottery. James Waldroup of Eatonton won $20,000, taxes paid, from being selected in the Aug. 8 $3,000,000 Taxes Paid Weekly Extra Chance Drawing.
“This will help tremendously,” said Waldroup, 57. “No doubt this is going into my savings account.”
Waldroup said he was watching a Georgia Lottery drawing when his name was announced.
“I almost fell out for a minute,” the lucky winner recalled. “Everything worked out.”
Winning the lottery “hit the spot,” Waldroup said as he and his wife, Betty, anticipate planning for their future.
