Winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $652K sold in Riverdale

ATLANTA – A gas station in Riverdale has sold a winning Fantasy 5 ticket carrying a jackpot prize of $652,759. Shell Food Mart, located at 1210 Highway 138 S.W. in Riverdale, sold the winning numbers from the Aug. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing.
The winner, Carl Williams of Riverdale, selected his own combination for the drawing and claimed his windfall Friday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Winning numbers from the Aug. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 6-10-19-32-39.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
