Two winning Fantasy 5 tickets worth $59K sold in area
ATLANTA – Two stores in the Augusta area have sold winning tickets carrying half-million dollar prizes on two separate Georgia Lottery instant games. Another two tickets from Tuesday’s Fantasy 5 drawing also were sold in the area.
Publix Super Market #0526, located at 4274 Washington Road in Evans, sold a winning Jumbo Jumbo Bucks ticket with a $500,000 top prize.
The winner, Betty Lanier of Evans, claimed her prize recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Augusta.
C-Mart, located at 3403 Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta, sold a winning Georgia Hold ‘Em ticket also carrying a $500,000 top prize.
Three players matched all five numbers from Tuesday’s Fantasy 5 drawing, each winning a $59,466 jackpot prize.
Fuel Express, 2700 Peach Orchard Road in Augusta; and Circle K #5373, 261 Furys Ferry Road in Martinez, sold the winning jackpot prize tickets. A third winning jackpot prize ticket was sold in Stockbridge.
Winning numbers from the Aug. 21 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 8-9-17-25-34.
Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their cash prizes.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
