ATLANTA – Okab Abumadi of Douglasville is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Abumadi, 55, won a $2.5 million top prize playing the instant game $100 Million Lucky Fortunes.
Abumadi claimed his prize Thursday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Circle K #1882, 5785 W. Stewart Mill Road in Douglasville, sold the winning ticket.
The lucky winner scratched his prize outside of the store.
“I started pinching myself,” he recalled. “I said, ‘Am I dreaming or what?’”
Abumadi has two adult children, ages 28 and 29. He intends to purchase new homes for them while he pays off his home mortgage and vacations in France.
