ATLANTA – One Brooks County man has won a hair-raising prize from the Georgia Lottery. Tomas Cruz of Morven was on his way to get a haircut when he won a $150,000 top prize playing the instant game Giant Jumbo Bucks.
Cruz, 46, decided to stop at Hahira Quick Stop, 1305 Highway 122 W. in Hahira, where he purchased the lucky ticket.
“I scratched it outside of the store,” he said. “I can’t believe it.”
Feeling great about winning his prize, Cruz scrapped his plans for a haircut.
The lucky winner plans to take care of his family.
