ATLANTA – A woman from LaGrange plans to step out in style with a win from the Georgia Lottery. Ashley Hood, 29, won a $25,000 prize playing the instant game Millionaire Jumbo Bucks.
“I’m not 100 percent sure, but I think I will go clothes shopping,” she shared.
Hood, a mother of three, claimed her prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Columbus.
She purchased the lucky ticket at LaGrange Happy Stop, 2911 Hamilton Road in LaGrange, where she scratched it in her car.
“I was overwhelmed. I was too excited to express it,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘No I didn’t! Are you serious?’”
Millionaire Jumbo Bucks is a Georgia Lottery instant game loaded with cash prizes of up to $2.5 million.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
