Monday, September 24, 2012

ATLANTA – A daughter and stepmother have won a jackpot prize from a Fantasy 5 drawing. Deborah and Barbara Gill of Savannah matched all five numbers from the Sept. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning a $242,356 jackpot prize. The pair was one of two jackpot winners from the drawing.

The Gills both claimed their share recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah.

Barbara Gill, Deborah’s stepmother, discovered the good news first while checking the results on the Georgia Lottery’s website.

“We were jumping for joy,” she said. “We haven’t decided what to do yet. We have to let it sink in.”

Hayner’s Creek 7-11, 1223 E. Montgomery Cross Road in Savannah, sold the winning ticket.

A second jackpot winning ticket worth $242,356 from the Sept. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing was sold in Columbus.

Winning numbers from the Sept. 9 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-8-15-27-30.
