ATLANTA – A Loganville landscaper is branching out as one of two top prize winners in Friday’s Fantasy 5 bonus drawing. John Gunning matched all five numbers in the bonus drawing and won $290,166.
Mr. Gunning checked the winning numbers in the newspaper on Saturday, which was his birthday. “It was after my birthday dinner,” says the 39-year-old. “I had all the numbers in a row, and I started screaming.”
“He kept screaming, ‘I won! I won! I won!’” says his wife, Patricia.
According to Mr. Gunning, “We’re going to take the kids to Disney World and put the rest in the bank. It’s insured the future a little bit more.”
The Gunnings are pleased that three of their four children attended lottery-funded prekindergarten. “It was great,” they both agree.
The winning numbers for the Fantasy 5 bonus drawing on Friday were: 10-22-23-30-39. Mr. Gunning purchased his Quik Pik ticket at Golden Pantry #0060, located at 8949 Maysville Rd. in Maysville. The second top prize ticket for Friday’s bonus drawing was sold in East Point. There was one winning ticket sold in Perry for Friday’s regularly scheduled Fantasy 5 drawing.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs.
