Truck driver routed to $273K in winnings

Thursday, October 18, 2012

ATLANTA – The Georgia Lottery has delivered a plentiful package to one lucky winner. Richard Faustmann of Huntsville, Ala., matched all five numbers from the Sept. 26 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $273,766 jackpot prize.

MAPCO Express, 104 GTM Parkway in Rockmart, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.

“I went to the store, and that’s where I bought it,” said Faustmann, 67. “When I found out I’d won, I was surprised. I didn’t exactly jump up and down, but I was pleasantly surprised.”

Winning numbers from the Sept. 26 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-18-19-35-36.

Feeling good about his lottery win, Faustmann said he intends to pay off bills.

Faustmann claimed his prize recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton.
