Thursday, October 18, 2012

ATLANTA – A Decatur woman has checked out a whopping Georgia Lottery jackpot prize playing Fantasy 5. Nuna Sims, 64, matched all five numbers from the Sunday Oct. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $319,028 jackpot prize.

Sims, a property manager for a storage facility, claimed her prize recently at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

“I was going to the grocery store, and my husband asked, ‘Will you play my numbers?’ So I played his and mine,” she said.

Winning numbers from the Oct. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 12-22-25-31-35.

Express Mart #0101, 2146 Lawrenceville Highway in Decatur, sold the lucky ticket.

“It didn’t dawn on me until the following day, so I went back and asked for the results,” Sims said.

The lucky winner and her husband, Carl, have one adult son.

“It feels great, great,” Sims exclaimed. “I’ll take the family on a cruise.”
