ATLANTA – A Houston County man is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Steven Baughman of Kathleen won $1,000 a week for a year from matching the first five winning numbers plus the Free Ball from the Oct. 3 Win For Life drawing.
Baughman’s prize totals $52,000 for one year.
Houston Lake Food Store, 1946 Houston Lake Road in Kathleen, sold the Quik Pik ticket.
“I found out the next day when I got home from work,” said Baughman, 54.
The father of two checked the results on the Georgia Lottery’s website.
Baughman, a tools and parts attendant, is excited about winning the lottery.
He and his wife, Amelia, anticipate paying off bills and having a car repaired.
Winning numbers from the Oct. 3 Win For Life drawing were: 4-6-7-12-13-34 and the Free Ball was 36.
