Winning ticket worth $186K sold in Alma

ATLANTA – A winning Georgia Lottery ticket sold in Alma from a May Fantasy 5 drawing was recently claimed. Three Dees, located at 925 S. Pierce St. in Alma, sold a winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $186,129 from the May 5 drawing.

The winner, David Hand of Alma, matched all five winning numbers from the drawing and claimed his prize Oct. 3 from the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.

A second jackpot winning ticket was sold from the drawing in Evans. Ricky Bell of Evans claimed his prize in May.

Winning numbers from the May 5 drawing were: 6-8-9-19-36.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
