Bulloch Co. jewelry store manager engraves $163K prize

ATLANTA – A jewelry store manager in Bulloch County has unlocked a chunky yet charming prize from the Georgia Lottery. Dean Jones of Brooklet matched all five numbers from the Nov. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $163,472 jackpot prize.

Jones, 46, claimed his prize recently the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Savannah.

The lucky winner selected his own numbers for the drawing.

Winning numbers from the Nov. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 10-11-18-25-39.

DC’s Dip N Dash, 2399 Eldora Road in Ellabelle, sold the lucky ticket.

He discovered his win the following day while visiting the Georgia Lottery’s mobile website from his cellphone.

Jones and his wife, Sandy, have two children, and they’re all excited about their windfall.

“We’re thinking about it, but this may be a bump to Christmas,” he shared.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
