Winning ticket worth $250K sold in Woodstock

ATLANTA – A winning ticket worth a quarter of a million dollars was sold in Woodstock. Kroger #0463, 2295 Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock, sold a winning ticket from the Georgia Lottery instant game Atlanta Falcons Cash Blowout, carrying a $250,000 top prize.

The winner, Glenis Morales of Woodstock, claimed her prize Nov. 7 at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

She and her husband, Eduardo, have three children. Everyone is excited.

“We’re looking to buy a new house,” shared Morales, 36.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
