Fantasy 5 prize is 2nd win since 2010
ATLANTA – An Acworth woman, who claimed a sliver of an office pool prize in 2010, can ring in this year’s holiday season with her own glimmering gain from the Georgia Lottery. Beverly James, a medical office professional, matched all five numbers from the Dec. 16 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $50,000 jackpot prize.
“I’m excited,” exclaimed James, 54. “I used (family) birthdays and my brother’s football number.”
Winning numbers from the Dec. 16 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 7-9-11-21-32.
James claimed her prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton.
The lucky winner was a member of a WellStar office pool that won a $200,000 Powerball prize in 2010.
“We were really happy,” James said. “I sat on mine for a little while, which I will do with this prize.”
PJ’s Food Mart, 6741 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock, sold the winning ticket.
She discovered her prize following the drawing as the results were announced on television. James and her husband, Steve, have two adult children.
Positivity has resulted in the numerous wins, James explained.
“I always believe that I will win,” she shared.
