ATLANTA – One Rabun County caregiver is satisfied with her substantial Georgia Lottery prize. Crystal Cross of Clayton played the instant game Millionaire Jingle Jumbo Bucks and won a $250,000 prize.
Cross, a caregiver for an assisted living facility, claimed her prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.
“I was at a gas station getting gas,” said Cross, 37. “I scratched it outside.”
The 1 Market #0788, located at 180 Highway 441 N. in Clayton, sold the winning ticket.
“I didn’t think it was true,” she said. “It hasn’t sunk in yet.”
Cross and her husband, David, have two children.
Feeling good about her lottery win, the lucky winner intends to pay off her home mortgage.
The Georgia Lottery instant game Millionaire Jingle Jumbo Bucks is loaded with cash prizes of up to $3 million.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
