ATLANTA – A Blairsville woman is energized over a generous win from the Georgia Lottery. Martha White, 47, won a $58,483 jackpot prize from the Jan. 4 Fantasy 5 drawing after matching all five winning numbers.
White was one of four winners each to win a jackpot prize from the drawing.
Harry’s Pantry, located at 40 Highway 325 in Blairsville, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. Other winning jackpot prize tickets were sold in Peachtree City, Stone Mountain and Americus.
Winning numbers from the Jan. 4 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 17-23-28-34-39.
“I’m very happy,” she said. “I don’t have any plans at the moment.”
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
