Centerville courier served $150K lottery prize

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

ATLANTA – A Houston County courier is enjoying a plentiful prize from the Georgia Lottery. Brian Sweeney of Centerville won a $150,000 top prize playing the new instant game Fantasy Blackjack.

Sweeney, 40, claimed his prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Macon.

Low Lo Food Mart, 1400 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins, sold the lucky ticket, and Sweeney scratched it at home.

“I was shocked. I looked to make sure it was real,” he said. “I’m still in a state of shock.”

Sweeney anticipates purchasing a new home with his winnings.

Georgia Lottery players can submit non-winning Fantasy Blackjack tickets for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas and to play blackjack online. Visit www.galottery.com for more information.
