Jesup electrician generates excitement with $52K prize

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

ATLANTA – A Jesup industrial electrician is on the fast track for 52,000 megawatts of fun with a prize from the Georgia Lottery. John Lemmo, 63, matched five numbers plus the Free Ball from Saturday’s Win for Life drawing, winning $1,000 a week for one year.

The lucky winner claimed his $52,000 prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Savannah.

Peaches, 81 Spring Grove Road in Jesup, sold the Quik Pik ticket.

Winning numbers from the Feb. 2 Win for Life drawing were: 15-18-19-23-31-33 and the Free Ball was 20.

“I looked on the computer,” he said. “The reaction was, ‘I think I won something!’”

Feeling good about his win, Lemmo intends to pay off bills.
