Toombs County man collects $145K prize

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

ATLANTA – One Toombs County supervisor has outlined his plans since winning a prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s Fantasy 5. David Stanley of Lyons matched all five numbers from the Jan. 31 drawing, winning the $145,875 jackpot prize.

“I’m going to take care of the basics: paying off bills,” he explained. “I may get a small frivolous item.”

Stanley, a quality control supervisor, is one of two players who each won the jackpot.

Winning numbers from the Jan. 31 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-15-16-33-35.

Murphy Oil USA #6557, 3103 E. First St. in Vidalia, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. The second jackpot winning ticket was sold in Dublin.

“I checked on the website,” recalled Stanley, 52. “I was elated.”
