ATLANTA – One Dalton man is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Brandon Cross, 29, won a $40,000 prize playing the new instant game $400,000 Bonanza.
Cross, a shipping manager, stopped for coffee when he decided to purchase the ticket at Kangaroo Express #3656, 220 Connector 3 in Dalton.
“I was on the phone with my wife at work,” he said. “She didn’t believe me. After it registered, I screamed.”
Feeling great about winning a prize, Cross and his wife, Holly, anticipate paying off their car note.
The Georgia Lottery instant game $400,000 Bonanza is loaded with prizes of up to $400,000.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
