ATLANTA – A software engineer is on Cloud 9 since winning a $40,000 Georgia Lottery prize. Sudheer Peddineni Kalava of Ontario, Canada, won a $40,000 top prize playing the new instant game Silver & Gold.
While visiting friends, Peddineni Kalava purchased his lucky ticket at Mount Vernon Package Store, 308 W. Spring St. in Mount Vernon.
The 26-year-old claimed his prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Augusta.
“I checked the ticket 15 times. It was one of the luckiest days,” he said. “I feel really happy and lucky, too.”
Surprised over his good fortune, Peddineni Kalava has not yet decided on how he’ll use his winnings.
