ATLANTA – An Atlanta man is ecstatic over a half-million dollar Georgia Lottery prize. Jose Ibarra, 54, matched all five winning numbers from the Feb. 17 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning a $500,092 prize.
“I stayed up late to watch my numbers,” he said. “I saw the balls fall, and I didn’t sleep at all.”
Winning numbers from the Feb. 17 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-11-13-20-22.
Hurt Food Mart, 1401 Hurt Road in Austell, sold the lucky ticket. The second jackpot winning ticket was sold in Smyrna.
“It was something that I didn’t believe. I was shaky,” Ibarra said.
A cab driver, Ibarra now is considering retirement.
“I feel good about it,” he said. “I can pay off bills and buy a house.”
