Quik Pik ticket delivers $500K prize to Atlanta man

Friday, March 8, 2013

ATLANTA – Chaz Patterson of Atlanta has won an exciting jackpot prize from the Georgia Lottery. Patterson is one of two players each to win a $500,092 jackpot from the Feb. 17 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The 28-year-old said that he discovered the good news when the results appeared on his mobile phone.

“I pulled my ticket out, and then I called my mom,” Patterson said. “She didn’t believe it. When I got emotional, then she believed me.”

Winning numbers from the Feb. 17 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-11-13-20-22.

Circle M Food Shop #0049, 2535 Cobb Parkway S.E. in Smyrna, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. The second jackpot winning ticket was sold in Austell.

An assistant principal in Gwinnett County, Patterson intends to purchase his first home.

“I feel good, but it’s still surreal,” he shared.
