Snellville man wins $110K Fantasy 5 prize

ATLANTA – Joseph Engelbrecht of Snellville matched all five numbers from the Feb. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $110,163 jackpot prize.
Engelbrecht, 51, picked his own lucky combination.
“They’re my mother and father’s birthdays,” he explained.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-9-18-24-29.
Chevron Food Mart, 1215 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville, sold the winning ticket.
“I knew immediately,” Engelbrecht said. “I’m very excited.”
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
