Tuesday, March 12, 2013

ATLANTA – Jared Thomas of Columbus has picked a lucky Georgia Lottery ticket worth $225,000. Thomas won his top prize playing the instant game Cash Payout.

Quick Stop, 2206 Second Ave. in Columbus, sold the lucky ticket. Thomas, 21, scratched it at home.

“I said, ‘This can’t be right,’ ” he recalled. “I meditated on it. I was shocked.”

Feeling great over his windfall, Thomas anticipates purchasing a new home.
